The 2014 Ford Flex is a full-size crossover utility vehicle,
or CUV. Originally produced for the 2008 model year by Ford Motor Company, the
Ford Flex replaced the Ford Freestar and the Ford Taurus X. The Flex was the
first CUV to combine traits of both the minivan and SUV. This unique
combination of features and style make the 2014 Ford Flex in PA a very popular
choice.
The Basics
Ford refreshed the Flex for the 2013 model year by giving it a more
modern, sleek exterior and grille. Ford added the SYNC/MyFord Touch electronic
dashboard and increased the horsepower on the 3.5-liter V6 to 285. The 2014
Ford Flex builds upon these exciting changes by making four-way headrests
standard on the SE model and an optional titanium package with a monochromatic
roof. On average, the 2014 Ford Flex gets 18 city and 25 highway miles per
gallon. The Flex is capable of carrying up to seven passengers. Customers are
very impressed with the 2014 Ford Flex in PA.
Safety
The 2014 Ford Flex in PA is full of safety features to protect the driver and passengers. The Flex is the first vehicle in the automotive industry to have safety belts that are outboard inflatable in the second row of the vehicle. The front passenger sensing system disables the airbag when children or very small adults are riding in the front. Additional safety features include a high strength steel frame, Safety Canopy System in the second and third row, rollover sensor, and AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control.
Colors
Exterior colors for the 2014 Ford Flex include mineral gray, kodiak
brown, deep impact blue, ruby red, white platinum, tuxedo black, ingot silver,
white suede, and ginger ale. Interior color options are charcoal black or dune.
SEL models include San Macassar wood appearance on the instrument panel and
door trim. On Limited models this trim is upgraded to Yoho maple.
On SEL and Limited models, there is an optional Appearance Package that
includes black leather seats with gray perforated leather inserts, meteorite black
inserts on the leather wrapped steering wheel, unique appliques on the doors
and instrument panel, and logo floor mats. Models with middle row bucket seats
as opposed to the standard bench row have the option to have a refrigerator in
the console between the seats that can hold up to seven  12-ounce cans or a tub of ice cream.
Trim Levels and Features
There are three trim levels for the 2014 Ford Flex - SE, SEL, and Limited. Standard features on all three of the 2014 Ford Flex trim levels include keyless entry, Reverse Sensing System, fog lights, an MP3-compatible CD player, a leather steering wheel, climate control, AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, and MyKey owner control system. The SEL trim level adds features like SYNC with MyFord Touch, heated seats, SiriusXM Radio, interior wood grain style appliques, and dual-zone electronic temperature control.Â
The Limited trim level adds luxurious, premium features such as a 12-speaker Sony audio system, LED tail lamps, a voice activated navigation system that uses SiriusXM Traffic, ambient lighting, and HID (high-intensity discharge) headlamps with auto lamp feature and wiper activation.
