2014 Ford Taurus Review

The 2014 Ford Taurus is a decently priced full-sized sedan. The cabin might feel smaller than it looks. Thankfully, its comfortable interior with quality fabric gives the Taurus its high rating and even higher desirability. With a V6 engine and automatic transmission, you will have more than enough power! The 2014 Ford Taurus will get you to your desired destination safely and quickly. 

There are a variety of trim levels, including the SE, SEL, Limited, and the SHO. 

Let's take a look at the 2014 Ford Taurus trims:

SE

Seventeen-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, and LED taillights are the major standout features of this vehicle. You also get cruise control, A/C, blind-spot mirrors, and rear seat vents which will keep you and your passengers comfortable and safe. For a more enjoyable driving experience, you get a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, six-speaker sound system with CD player and auxiliary input, along with a six-way power driver's seat. 

SEL 

With rear parking sensors and a rearview camera for safety, you won't be fearful when backing up, and in a full-sized sedan, it's not easy to see everything around you and behind you. The SEL trim also includes MyFord Touch, two USB ports, SD card reader, RCA video/audio jacks, and Sync technology, along with a center speaker for a more enhanced entertainment experience. Optional features include:

• A power sunroof for extra flair
• A rear spoiler for an aerodynamic experience
• Twenty-inch wheels 

Limited

The MyFord Touch interface, rearview cameras, keyless entry, perforated leather upholstery, and interior lighting give the Taurus Limited an aura of eccentricity. You also get heated and ventilated ten-way power front seats with driver seat memory and a tilt and telescoping steering wheel that's embellished with sculpted and beautifully painted wood. 

Optional features include high beam lights and wipers which turn on automatically, a heated steering wheel, and a blind spot warning system. You may also want to add adjustable pedals for a more comfortable driving experience. A Sony sound system with 12 speakers and HD radio, heated rear seats for your passengers, and a rear sunshade are also optional. 

Other features include the Driver Assist package, which includes cruise control, a collision warning system, brake support, automated parking, and lane-keeping assist. If you want a sportier look, you may add 20-inch wheels, a rear spoiler, a sunroof, navigation system, and front seats that have massage capabilities to your new 2014 Ford Taurus. 

 

SHO

The SHO is pretty much a Limited edition, but with a more powerful "Ford Tough" engine and all-wheel drive. The Ford Taurus SHO has always been known for its extremely sporty appearance, both inside and out. It has a sportier suspension, Xenon headlights for safety, and a rear spoiler for better aerodynamics. It comes with distinctive leather upholstery and imitation suede inserts. It's easy to switch from automatic to manual transmission with the paddle shifters.

Extra features for the SHO include a performance package which makes it even more powerful and sportier than it already is. This includes performance brake pads, upgraded steering capabilities, and race-car-like suspension. The 20-inch wheels, suede trim for the steering wheel, and summer tires also add to the Ford SHO's driving experience.
