Earlier today, Ford issued a press release announcing that, for the seventh year in a row, it has received recognition as a 2016 World's Most Ethical Company by the Ethisphere Institute. Ford id the only automaker to earn the distinction.
Over the years, consumers have been placing increasing importance on ethics in business. According to a recent Harris Poll, more than half of the respondents research a company before doing business with them, and more than one-third will not do business with a company that has a negative reputation.
Ethisphere evaluates companies based on top ratings in five categories: ethics and compliance, corporate citizenship and responsibilities, culture of ethics, governance and leadership and reputation.
“Ford understands that trust is the cornerstone of everything it does, and their commitment to being an active part of a global community helps explain why they are the only automaker Ethisphere has recognized every year since 2010,” said Timothy Erblich, Ethisphere’s Chief Executive Officer. “Being honored for the seventh time is no small achievement. Congratulations to everyone at Ford for being recognized.”
